So we are at Camp Nou, which is the stadium for FC Barcelona. We’re about to head up the museum. I’m stoked, because I love this. And I’m here for the ride!

We think Camp Nou is well worth a visit, whether you’re a football fan or not. It’s a massive part of Barcelona’s culture. “Here we go!” It’s open round the year, but keep in mind it’s closed on match days and the day before Champions League matches.

The tour is open from 9:30am to 7:30pm in the Summer and from 10am to 6:30 in the Winter. You don’t need to book a specific date or time, but when we went, there was a huge queue of people ready before it even opened. So definitely get there early.

We paid €23 each in May of 2015, which to us was pretty reasonable.

IT all starts in the trophy room, where you’ll get an idea of the prestige and history of the club. “I actually quite like these boots. I wouldn’t mind having them in my wardrobe.”

One of the best bits is getting up close and personal with your favourite player. Well…not quite, but Piqué was on the greenscreen, which we were somehow still excited about.

You’ll see some artwork that we definitely got our heads around… “standing out, standing up for the common people and like – passion – yeah the art is the same. It’s like, you get the paintbrush and you just splat it all around and yeah, it’s cool.”

This is the kind of tour where you get to experience everything, even the players’ sweat. Yep, you’ll get a glimpse into the away team’s changing room. And you can get your hands on the best prize of all, the Champions League trophy. Possibly the coolest part of all though was getting to stand pitch-side.

“’Kay cool, we are pitch-side! It’s awesome. It’s also rainy out here, as you can see with Kate’s…outfit. So we’re going to go inside.” That’s where you really get to see how big this stadium actually is. It seats around 99,000 people. That is pretty big!

But of course, it wouldn’t be a stadium without a Press Gantry. That’s a ‘commentary box’ to you and me. And really cool swivelly chairs. “It’s like a rollercoaster ride.” “This is where everything’s broadcast from and they’ve got this amazing view of the pitch, right below us.” “It’s a pretty great view from up here.” “This is the spot you want to be in.”

And, that’s the tour of Camp Nou! It rained the whole time… Our advice is get there early!
