Sid Lowe joins ESPN FC’s Dan Thomas to react to Lionel Messi’s announcement that Barcelona players will not only take a 70 percent pay cut during the coronavirus crisis, but that the players will make sure club employees still receive their full wages. Lowe breaks down how this is another moment in which Messi has gotten the better of club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the Barcelona board and what it could mean for Bartomeu with one year left in his term. The guys also address Messi’s future at the club and how it could be affected by his relationship with the board.
