Can't this purchase-and-play club ever develop any of their own talent? No wonder clubs like Man United have made a long practice of buying their titles — apparently, they purchased the Barcelona operating procedure handbook long ago! Regardless, the practice of paying the big money for teams doesn't work in the long term, and Barca is a perfect example of this.
