He has usually lined up on the left side of the midfield three in a 4-3-3 for Ajax. That seems like his best position. Our problem is not that we have too many options in midfield. We have many players for only one spot. Rakitic and Busquets are easily the first names Valverde picks for his eleven, probably even before Messi himself. You can't blame de Jong for being worried about his playing time. Things are bad if FFP flouting PSG appear to be a better destination for young players than the likes of Barca. Something has to change.

It's obvious that we have a sleeping Board of Directors. I wonder if Eric Abidal is really doing his job. He should be the one alerting the board that we DON'T NEED WILLIAN & MORATA, and we don't need RABIOT too. Valverde should just think innovatively and find a place for Coutinho. By the way, can't Coutinho just for once adapt to the position he's given. Ruud Gullit was a player to adapted to different positions throughout his playing career before he played in his preferred position. Can't Coutinho do that? We are all human beings and we adapt to different situations at stages of our lives before we get what we desire.
